Wholly Genes, Inc. is proud to announce that the long-awaited update v1.2 to The Master Genealogist (TMG) is now shipping!

This major new update builds on the strong foundation of TMG v1.1, which has received critical acclaim as a comprehensive research manager with an interface that is easy to use. With this release, The Master Genealogist launches genealogical software to exciting new levels of power, flexibility, and ease of use with features that are unmatched in the industry.

Among hundreds of enhancements and additions, TMG v1.2 includes the following:

• Genealogy ("book") reports in Register, Record, TAG, and Custom formats which allow maximum control over sentence construction for individual events or all events of a specified type.

• New printer drivers which provide powerful control over fonts and other print attributes. More than 400 printers supported!
• Output DIRECTLY to your word processor's native format (i.e., not limited by RTF), including WordPerfect, Word for Windows, AmiPro, and WordStar, to preserve formatting, print characteristics, index codes, etc. More than 50 native formats and versions supported.
• Import data DIRECTLY from Personal Ancestral File (tm) .DAT files, including tagged notes.
• Import data DIRECTLY from ROOTS III (tm) .EDB files, including external notes, dot commands, etc.
• Improved GEDCOM import and export, accommodating even more variations.
• Exciting new features around every corner...including integrated backup/restore, an optional spell-checker, regnal date calculator, enhanced navigation tools, and more powerful timeline and witness features.

And, of course, TMG continues to offer the professional research environment which our users have come to expect: no practical limits on the amount or type of data that can be entered about each person, conflicting information, name variations, structured sources, unlimited citations per event, and surety levels. Built-in tools include a text editor, calendar, relationship calculator, research log, and exhibit log which supports full-color graphics and sound!
