TMG/Win v3.5 update

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

 

1. Download TMGW35.ZIP and unzip it into your existing TMG/Win v3.0 program directory.

WhollyGenes will be available for those who need help with this step but if you choose the download method (as opposed to purchasing the update on CD) then you are presumed to have some experience with such things or have access to someone who can help you.

2. Make sure that TMG/Win is not running (even minimized)! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

3. Go to a DOS prompt.

In Windows 3.x: In the Program Manager, access the File menu and choose Exit Windows. 

In Win95: Click on the Start button, choose Programs and then choose "MSDOS Prompt."

4. Move to the TMG/Win v3.0 program drive/directory.

For example, type:

CD \TMGW

followed by the <Enter> key.

5. Type:

PATCH

followed by the <Enter> key.

6. Follow the screen prompts. When asked whether you want to overwrite certain existing files answer Yes (or "A" for all). 

7. When the patch process is complete, type:

EXIT

followed by the <Enter> key. If this does not return you to Windows then reboot your computer.

8. Start TMG/Win using the same icon, shortcut, or menu option to which you are accustomed.

NOTE: If the opening screen does not then reflect "v3.5" then the patch was NOT successful.  Re-trace your steps or contact technical support for assistance.

9. Have fun with TMG/Win v3.5 Gold Edition!
